    Comments, Additional Information, References

Gerda Peterich in her notes states "Morse [House], Gansz Road, Galen - very old, large field cobbles, looks like a bit of Ireland".

"Cobblestone Structures of Wayne County" Owens House excerpt, 1955, Verlyn Edward Klahn, pages 82 and 83. Essay submitted for Hoffman Foundation, Wayne County History Scholarship, awarded 1955. Reprint permission granted by Wayne County Historian.

This structure may be an example of a primitive cobblestone structure based on the construction methods that are visible in this one photograph; however, since the entire structure is not visible in the photograph and Google Maps street level view is not available to see additional views of the structure, the assessment that the structure is a cobblestone building is tentative.

Editor's Note: Discussion" about whether or not a structure qualifies as an authentic cobblestone structure.
